GDPR”), as well as other laws, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Please note that this Policy does not apply to websites or data processing operations carried out by third parties that can be accessed through links provided on the Digital Platforms. Such operations are the responsibility of the third parties collecting the data.
Users may configure their preferences regarding the Cookies used on the Digital Platforms at any time through the tool provided in Section 7 (Cookie management).
We remind you that some Cookies allow for identification, and as such, you should also read and familiarise yourself with the

2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small information files, usually in .html format, stored by a website on your device (computer, laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc.). This Policy regulates all Cookies and other forms of user tracking technologies, such as
tags, pixel tags, web beacons, user IDs, or other technologies that may be developed in the future (collectively referred to as “
Cookies”).
During each visit to the Digital Platforms, the Users’ browser enables access to the Cookies installed on their device, allowing the recognition and memorisation of the identifier associated with them (when applicable), as well as the immediate activation of their usage preferences. The Digital Platforms will only install Cookies on Users’ devices with their express consent, except in cases where they are necessary for the operation of the platforms.
For Cookies that are necessary for the operation of the Digital Platforms, Users wishing to delete or automatically block them may do so as explained in the instructions in Section 7 (Cookie management).
3. What are cookies used for?
Cookies may be used to ensure the functionality of essential features of websites, to increase their efficiency, and to allow owners to collect user information and preferences.
Cookies are also used to display advertising that is more relevant to Users’ interests based on their browsing history and previously installed Cookies. The specific use of Cookies by the Digital Platforms is detailed throughout this Policy.
4. Types of cookies
The Digital Platforms use several categories of Cookies, each corresponding to distinct purposes:
- Strictly necessary cookies – Without these Cookies, it would not be possible to ensure the basic functionalities of the Digital Platforms and/or provide Users access to features they explicitly request from Plenergy. As such, these Cookies cannot be disabled on Plenergy’s systems. They may be used to enable features such as ensuring User security while navigating the Digital Platforms. Users can configure their browsers to block or alert them about these Cookies, but this may affect the functioning of the Digital Platforms.
- Technical cookies: allow users to navigate a website and use some of its services (e.g., remembering items in a shopping cart).

- Security cookies: used to prevent or hinder attacks on the website.
- Social content-sharing plug-in cookies: plug-ins that enable sharing content on social media.

This type of Cookie may also be used, in conjunction with advertising Cookies, to measure interactions with ads placed on the websites.
- Advertising cookies – These Cookies are used to monitor Users’ product and page preferences to provide personalised and relevant ads and communications, as well as to measure the effectiveness of each ad.
- Advertising management cookies – These allow the management of advertising spaces on the website.
We use different types of Cookies on the Digital Platforms for different purposes. The Cookies used are as follows:
Technical and customisation cookies: Identification and authentication cookies, navigation cookies, interface customisation cookies. These Cookies are used to identify Users during sessions, avoid repeated authentication processes on the website, and speed up certain website processes.

- Session ID: Identifies the user’s HTTP session. Common to all web applications to identify user requests in a session.
Browsing analysis cookies: These Cookies collect general information about Users’ access to the website to later provide aggregated statistics.
- Google Analytics: These Cookies allow website monitoring using the Google Analytics tool, a service provided by Google to obtain information about Users’ website access. Some of the data stored for subsequent analysis includes: the number of times a user visits the website, dates of the first and last visits, duration of visits, which page the user accessed the website from, which search engine or link was used to reach the website, the user’s location when accessing the website, etc. The information generated by the Cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google Inc (USA). The configuration of these Cookies is predetermined by the service offered by Google, so we suggest consulting Google Analytics’ privacy page, https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en, for more information on the Cookies it uses and how to disable them (please note that we are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party websites).
Plenergy never stores our users’ personal data, except in the case of voluntary registration in any sections activated for this purpose within the Digital Platforms, to make use of the services we provide.

Each Cookie has an associated domain name and can be classified, with respect to its origin, into the following categories:
- First-party cookies: Cookies managed and stored by the Data Controller.
- Third-party cookies: Cookies placed on Users’ devices from a domain or equipment managed by a third party that has its content or technological solution integrated into the Digital Platforms. In such cases, the third party may process data collected through Cookies, and the Data Controller may not have the ability to configure their functioning.
